Orkas

Overview

Orkas is a desktop AI workspace that coordinates agents and tools around project files and instructions. It supports research, writing and project tasks. The vendor describes local storage as the default, while hosted models, search, media services and connectors can send request content to Orkas or upstream providers. Optional cloud sync uploads selected data. File access, shell actions and connectors depend on the permissions chosen for the task. The desktop client is free and can use a separately configured model provider, which may bill directly. Optional managed services use credits, paid plans or additional purchases. Free-account collaboration includes cloud storage; multi-device personal sync is described as a paid feature. Official pages give different paid-plan allowances; check the current terms before subscribing. This listing is based on official sources, without runtime testing.
