Overview

Postquel is a free, MIT-licensed PostgreSQL client for macOS. It brings table browsing, row editing, foreign-key navigation, schema inspection and SQL queries into a native SwiftUI and AppKit interface. Structure changes can be reviewed as SQL before being saved together in a transaction. The optional assistant connects to an installed, signed-in Claude Code, Codex or Cursor Agent. It can inspect database structure and run read-only queries; proposed changes remain available for the user to review, dry-run and apply. Enabling AI may send prompts, SQL and requested schema or query results to the selected AI service. That provider's data retention and training policies apply, and separate service charges may apply. The developer lists support for macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon and Intel. Postquel is an early project still under development. This listing is based on official documentation and developer-supplied images; we have not installed or tested the app.
