The reviewed help page describes a copy in the Mac’s local Library folder for CloudKit or no sync, and Apple-server copies for the described Apple sync options. Shared Spaces are explicitly excluded from NotePlan’s statement that notes do not pass through its own servers; check their data handling separately.
