Soulver is a notepad-style calculator for people who would rather write a short line of reasoning than construct every calculation through a traditional keypad. A sheet can mix numbers, units, dates, labels, and plain-language expressions, with results appearing alongside the input. That makes the Mac app well suited to a running estimate, a personal budget, a trip plan, or a small business calculation where the explanation is as useful as the final total. The developer positions Soulver as a native AppKit Mac app and documents macOS 14 or later for the direct release; the current Mac App Store release requires macOS 14.6 or later. It is sold as a one-time purchase through a direct download or the Mac App Store, with Setapp also available; the current product page lists a 60-day free trial. An optional data service adds live stock, weather, and knowledge-assistant functions in App Store versions, so those results should not be assumed to be part of the base purchase. Soulver is a focused calculation tool, not a spreadsheet or full accounting system.
