Tuck is a compact Mac menu-bar manager for people who can no longer fit their everyday status items into the visible bar. Its main action can hide a group of icons, then reveal them again when they are needed. Per-icon controls let an item remain visible, remain hidden, or follow the main toggle, while auto-hide and hover can keep a temporary reveal from staying open. On a notched MacBook, Shelf Mode can place hidden items in a panel below the menu bar instead of forcing a wider visible row. The permanent Free edition covers the core organization workflow; Tuck Pro is a $14.99 one-time purchase with no subscription and lifetime updates. The official release notes now list stable Tuck 1.1.7 build 87 for macOS 14 through 27, with macOS 14 or later required and a signed, notarized DMG. The earlier inspection of Tuck 1.0.32 found Intel and Apple-silicon executable slices; CPU support for 1.1.7 was not checked in this maintenance review. Menu-bar utilities necessarily interact with a crowded part of macOS, so users should test their essential status items and any needed system permissions before relying on a hide rule. Tuck is a good fit for reducing visual clutter, not for replacing the menu-bar controls users need to see continuously.
